The court of appeals vacated a district court judgment and remanded. The court held that where parties disputed satisfaction of the amount-in-controversy requirement for removal of a case to federal court under the Class Action Fairness Act, the district court had to give both parties the opportunity to submit evidence and argument to that court regarding the amount in controversy.
