SAN FRANCISCO — A Mountain View company’s patent infringement claims against Texas Instruments have been rejected by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Cradle IP had argued that a series of T.I. chips were configured to operate in the same manner as Cradle’s “multi-processor system on a chip.” But U.S. District Judge Sue Robinson ruled in 2013 that without the additional software that’s necessary to operate the chips, Cradle IP could not prove infringement of its apparatus claims.
