SAN FRANCISCO — A federal judge has tossed claims that nine California animation studios conspired not to poach each other’s employees, ruling on Friday that plaintiffs lawyers waited too long to sue.

The lawyers failed to satisfy the four-year statute of limitations on federal and state antitrust claims, according to U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh in the Northern District of California. She gave the lawyers 30 days to file an amended complaint.
