SAN FRANCISCO — The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit issued an injunction on Tuesday blocking Sandoz Inc. from selling a biosimilar version of Amgen Inc,’s drug Neupogen until the court resolves a pending appeal over the medication’s release.

The drug, which gained U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval in March, would be the first biosimilar to be sold in the United States.
