SAN FRANCISCO — White-collar criminal defense and commercial litigator Laurie Edelstein joined Steptoe & Johnson LLP as a partner on May 18. She departed litigation boutique Brune & Richard.
Edelstein is Steptoe’s third partner in Palo Alto. Her hire brings the office to eight lawyers—and may portend a larger hiring wave. The firm has just cemented plans to move into a larger office with space for 20 to 25 attorneys, said Palo Alto managing partner William Abrams.
