SAN FRANCISCO — A federal judge in Oakland has handed medical-device maker AngioScore Inc. a $20 million win in the first round of a legal fight with one of its founders over the design of a cutting-edge catheter.

Eitan Konstantino, who started AngioScore and served on its board of directors until 2010, also helped launch TriReme Medical Inc., a competitor in the market for surgical devices that help doctors clear blocked arteries.
