SAN FRANCISCO — Plaintiffs lawyers at Pritzker Levine; Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy; and Girard Gibbs have secured lead counsel roles in multidistrict privacy litigation against laptop maker Lenovo Group Ltd. and adware company Superfish Inc.
U.S. District Judge Ronald Whyte of the Northern District of California on Monday chose the trio of Bay Area firms over three other competing groups vying to steer the litigation. Whyte said the firms’ proximity to the court was a primary factor.
