SAN FRANCISCO — Haynes and Boone has acquired intellectual property boutique Mavrakakis Law Group, giving the firm two new partners in Palo Alto plus a Chicago office.
The Palo Alto partners are Brian Kwok and Thomas Mavrakakis, who was formerly director of patent strategy at Apple Inc. Joining them are associates Amy Liang and Christopher Lubeck. The new Chicago office brings partners James Shimota and Howard Levin, as well as associates Aaron Taggart and Braden Tilghman.
