SAN FRANCISCO — An ex-employee at a Silicon Valley video game company was arrested for alleged trade secrets theft last week by the Federal Bureau of Investigation just before boarding a flight to China at San Francisco International Airport. Jing Zeng, 42, made an appearance Tuesday in the U.S. District Court in the Northern District of California to face charges.

Foley & Lardner partner Thomas Carlucci made a special appearance for Zeng, according to court documents. Carlucci did not immediately return a call for comment. Candace Kelly and John Hemann with the U.S. attorney’s office are leading the prosecution.
