SAN FRANCISCO — Intellectual property litigation partner Jeffrey Randall joined K&L Gates in Silicon Valley on Wednesday. He departs Paul Hastings, where he recently wrapped up a six-year civil and criminal trade secrets matter.
Randall led the Paul Hastings team defending South Korean industrial conglomerate Kolon Industries Inc., which pleaded guilty in April to conspiracy to steal trade secrets involving E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Co.’s Kevlar technology. The company was sentenced to pay $85 million in criminal fines and $275 million in restitution.
