For Baker Botts, growing in the Valley has meant breaking down barriers between practice areas. The Houston-based firm opened its Palo Alto office in 2008, and has organized its services in the region around the technology industry, rather than traditional law firm practice areas.
John Martin, who heads the Silicon Valley office and chairs the firm’s tech sector group, spoke with The Recorder about how his firm targets tech clients, and on the challenges of breaking into the competitive Bay Area market.
