SAN FRANCISCO — Google Inc. has scored a defense win its latest bout with Texas-based nonpracticing-entity SimpleAir Inc.

A Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan trial team led by partner Charles Verhoeven won a jury verdict of no infringement in the Eastern District of Texas on Monday. Lawyers for SimpleAir had accused Google’s cloud messaging system for Android push notifications of infringing on two patents and sought undisclosed damages topping $100 million.
