SAN FRANCISCO — Quinn Emanuel lawyers have come up empty in a bid for sanctions against Koninklijke Philips N.V. and its lawyers at Reed Smith in what has become a tense trade secrets fight between the global technology giant and a Chinese rival.
Philips accuses China’s Elec-Tech International Co. of recruiting one of its San Jose-based engineers and encouraging him to swipe thousands of sensitive files related to manufacturing high-efficiency LED lighting.
