OAKLAND — A federal judge asked Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe to hand over internal firm documents so she can determine whether they should be disclosed as part of discovery in a lawsuit between two former firm clients.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Donna Ryu told Orrick partner William Alderman at a hearing Thursday that she will review the documents to see if any of them should be given to former client Loop AI Systems Inc. as part of a lawsuit against Almawave S.r.l., another former client.
