OAKLAND — An African-American woman working for the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office is suing over alleged racial discrimination, claiming management failed to intervene after she was called a racial slur by a colleague.
Twanda Bailey, an investigative assistant who has worked for the DA’s office since 2001, says the human resources department refused to investigate her claim that a colleague called her by a racial slur. Instead, Bailey says management threatened her and retaliated against her in response to her complaint.
