SAN FRANCISCO — Sidley Austin brought in David Grinberg as a corporate partner in the firm’s growing Century City office. He joins the firm from Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, where he chaired the mergers and acquisitions practice.

Grinberg, who started Monday, said he joined Sidley because of the opportunity to help build the firm’s new Century City office. He said that he became increasingly entrepreneurial while working at Manatt, and that the ability to forge something new—while continuing his practice—made his decision easy.
