The Fourth Appellate District reversed a judgment. The court held that a drug manufacturer that was allegedly negligent for failing to amend its product labels to reflect certain risks could potentially be held liable for injuries sustained by a patient taking the drug even after the manufacturer sold its rights in the drug to another pharmaceutical company.
