SAN FRANCISCO — UC-Hastings College of the Law pulled out of its tailspin, moving up nine spots in the latest U.S. News & World Report law school rankings. It ranks No. 50 on the list published today, up from 59 last year.

University of San Francisco was bumped off the list, having just made the cut last year at No. 138. Pepperdine University School of Law tied with six other schools at No. 65, dropping 13 spots. Chapman University School of Law fell nine spots to 136. And Santa Clara University took the biggest hit, dropping to No. 129 from No. 94 last year. Golden Gate University School of Law remained unranked.
