SACRAMENTO — Melissa Murray, a 10-year member of the UC-Berkeley School of Law faculty, was named interim dean Tuesday, even as allegations surrounding her predecessor continue to unnerve the campus.

Murray replaces Sujit Choudhry, who resigned his post as dean earlier this month after his executive assistant sued him and the university for sexual harassment. Choudhry’s actions, which UC-Berkeley investigators concluded violated sexual harassment policies, and an initial decision allowing him to keep his job have angered law school students, alumni and faculty.
