Virtual-reality startup 360Heros Inc. is built on a simple concept: Set up a rig that can accommodate multiple GoPro cameras so that users can shoot 360-degree spherical video. It’s played to some rave reviews.

There’s one big problem with the model, according to a trademark and copyright suit filed Wednesday in San Jose. Hero is the name of GoPro’s flagship line of cameras. And the San Mateo-based company hasn’t licensed the mark to 360Hero.
