It will be the end of an era when Senior Judge Ronald Whyte steps away from the San Jose federal courthouse in November.
In his 24 years at Robert F. Peckham, Whyte handled cutting-edge intellectual property disputes at the dawn of the Internet age while playing a leading role in developing the Northern District’s local patent rules. Those rules in turn became a model for patent case management around the country.
