SAN FRANCISCO — Former Broadcom Corp. general counsel Arthur Chong joined Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton as a special advisor in San Francisco.

Chong will work on client and business development for the firm, attending pitches and maintaining relationships with clients, he said. He said he does not expect to bill hours. Chong said he joined Sheppard Mullin because he wanted to add to the firm’s “client-first philosophy” that he saw when previously relying on the lawyers as outside counsel.
