Class action litigator Neal R. Marder has left Winston & Strawn after 16 years to join the Los Angeles office of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld.

Marder, who was most recently the chair of Winston & Strawn’s consumer class actions practice, helped build out the firm’s Los Angeles office when he joined in 2000. That location now has about 70 lawyers, which is equal to the size of Akin Gump’s office in the city.
