The United Kingdom’s Brexit vote won’t disrupt current patent practice in Europe, practitioners said Friday, but it will surely cause further delays—and possibly even kill—plans for a unified European patent court.
“Brexit will almost certainly substantially delay the UPC, but I think it can still happen,” said Morrison & Foerster patent partner Otis Littlefield.
