Litigation firm Manion Gaynor & Manning absorbed the seven-attorney Walnut Creek firm Glaspy & Glaspy this week. The former Glaspy & Glaspy office will be Manion Gaynor’s third outpost in California and the ninth nationwide for the Boston-based firm.
The construction law expertise of the former Glaspy & Glaspy attorneys—including partner David Glaspy, who has litigated more than 50 asbestos cases in more than 20 states—complements Manion Gaynor’s focus on commercial and business litigation, said John Manning, managing partner of Manion Gaynor’s products liability and complex tort practice group. He added that having an office in Walnut Creek would make it easier for Manion Gaynor to add attorneys, since real estate there is less expensive than in San Francisco or Los Angeles, the locations of the firm’s other California offices.
