Robert Crowder, who once made headlines for a high-profile suit against Locke Lord, has left Southern California firm Freeman, Freeman & Smiley for the Los Angeles office of Chicago-based Tressler.

A commercial litigator who specializes in energy, insurance and maritime work, Crowder joined Tressler as a partner last week, having spent the past eight years at Freeman, Freeman & Smiley, a full-service firm with offices in Los Angeles’ Century City neighborhood and nearby Irvine, California.
