SAN FRANCISCO — Twist Bioscience Corp. hired Mark Daniels as its first general counsel. Daniels comes to the San Francisco-based biotechnology company from Broadcom Corp., where he most recently served as vice president, law and deputy chief corporate compliance officer.
Daniels said he joined Twist Biosciences because of the opportunity to build legal infrastructures and processes at “an exciting company at the forefront of enabling science and innovation” with an “incredible management team.” He said his first steps are to learn the company, the industry and all the “challenges and opportunities” the company faces.
