SAN FRANCISCO—The Golden State Warriors have turned to privacy attorneys at Cooley to defend the team from claims that its Android app unlawfully accesses fans’ smartphone microphones.

Cooley lawyers, led by Michael Rhodes, entered appearances for the Bay Area’s NBA franchise Friday in the lawsuit filed late last month in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
