SAN FRANCISCO — A divided Senate Judiciary Committee voted largely along party lines on Thursday to approve the nomination of U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh to the U.S. Court of Appeals to the Ninth Circuit.
Koh, who faced pointed questions from Republican senators at a committee hearing on her nomination in July, was approved by a 13-7 vote but still faces dim prospects of receiving a vote from the full Senate any time soon.
