The digital advertising space is McDowell’s playground. Last year she closed on the online advertising company The Rubicon Project’s $22 million acquisition of iSocket and advised Conversant Inc. on its $2.3 billion sale to Alliance Data Systems Corp., a mega-marketing firm that needed to bulk up its digital prowess. But she doesn’t limit herself to ad tech deals: This April, she helped represent medical device company St. Jude Medical reach a deal on its $25 billion acquisition by the global healthcare company Abbott.
