As the director of the UC Hastings Institute for Innovation Law, Feldman is pioneering a possible model for the future of legal education. She founded the Startup Legal Garage, where law students (with supervision from practicing attorneys) provide free services for early-stage tech and biotech companies. The program, which particularly aims to help women entrepreneurs, served 60 companies in the past year.
