SAN FRANCISCO — The California Supreme Court on Wednesday unanimously voted to review a state appeals court decision that ordered Yelp to remove a negative review of a San Francisco personal injury attorney.
The Hassell Law Group sued former client Ava Bird for defamation in 2013 after Bird posted a one-star review of the law firm. Bird contended the firm failed to live up to a contract and was unresponsive in trying to get an insurance-related dispute resolved.
