SACRAMENTO — Incumbent South Bay Rep. Mike Honda sued his campaign opponent Ro Khanna in federal court on Thursday, accusing a Khanna aide of illegally accessing a Dropbox account to glean information about Honda’s top donors.
Honda has asked the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California for a preliminary injunction barring the Khanna campaign from using any of the donor information. The congressman is also seeking an order forcing Khanna to “promptly disgorge and destroy all confidential and proprietary” Honda campaign data.
