Lorraine Echavarria, the former head of enforcement in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Los Angeles office, is the latest SEC official to migrate to Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr. She’ll be a partner in the firm’s securities litigation and enforcement practice.

Echavarria, who worked at the SEC for 15 years, will be in familiar company. Bill McLucas, the SEC’s former director of the division of enforcement, is the chair of her new practice group, which also includes at least three ex-SEC attorneys. And Randall Lee, the partner in charge of WilmerHale’s Los Angeles office, worked closely with Echavarria from 2001 to 2007 when he was the agency’s Pacific regional director.
