The Fifth Appellate District affirmed a judgment of conviction. The court held in the published portion of its opinion that a defendant who committed assault with a firearm against several victims was subject to several great bodily injury (GBI) enhancements under the multiple victim exception to the statutory bar against multiple punishments for the same act.
