SAN FRANCISCO — Retired U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker, perhaps best known for his ruling overtuning California’s ban on gay marriage in 2010, is teaming up with litigation funder Bentham IMF as a member of its two investment committees, the company announced Friday.
“IMF’s 16-year record of success speaks to the strength of its due diligence and investment review process,” Walker said in a prepared statement. “I’m pleased to provide an additional perspective as the company assesses an ever-increasing volume of investment opportunities in the United States.”
