The Fourth Appellate District affirmed a judgment in part and reversed in part with directions. The court held in the published portion of its opinion that a jury’s awards of past and future noneconomic damages in favor of an injured medical patient were excessive in light of the patient’s eventual good recovery from serious post-surgerical complications.
