SAN FRANCISCO — Over the opposition of community activists, a California appeals court on Tuesday gave the Golden State Warriors basketball team a green light to move forward with a new stadium in San Francisco.

In a unanimous decision, the First District Court of Appeal panel ruled that municipal authorities had adhered to California’s environmental laws in assessing the potential impact of constructing an 18,500-seat stadium on an 11-acre site in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood.
