SAN FRANCISCO — As if Apple wasn’t already having a bad day.
Hours after the U.S. Supreme Court wiped away a nearly $400 million win in a patent suit against Samsung Electronics Co., the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) announced that it had reached a settlement with Apple Inc. for allegedly violating the state’s Hazardous Waste Control Law.
