A federal judicial panel has ordered that class actions filed over Yahoo! Inc.’s data breach this year be sent to U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh in San Jose.

Koh, who already is overseeing more than 100 class actions filed over Anthem Inc.’s 2015 data breach, was the top pick among class counsel. She previously issued one of the few favorable rulings for plaintiffs in data-breach cases, in which consumers have generally not fared well in convincing judges they suffered actual injuries from the hacks.
