Half a dozen of the biggest law firms with California roots have announced their new partner classes so far. Those firms named a total of 73 partners for 2017—a very slight decrease from last year, when those same six firms named 75 new partners total.

“Our new partners and counsel embody Latham’s strengths across practices, industries and markets, as well as our strong commitment to teamwork and client service,” Latham & Watkins managing partner Bill Voge said in a statement about his firm’s 2017 class—with 27 members, the largest among California firms that have announced their partner elections so far. “We congratulate them on their accomplishments and know that they will continue to achieve great things in delivering exceptional client service, building our practice and strengthening our culture.”
