SAN FRANCISCO — Santa Clara Superior Court Judge Peter Kirwan, who has presided over some of Silicon Valley’s biggest legal battles over the past three years as complex civil litigation judge, has been reassigned as part of a regular reshuffle, according to a court spokesman.

The busy docket will now be handled by two separate judges, Brian Walsh and Thomas Kuhnle, according to court spokesman Joseph Macaluso. Walsh and Kuhnle will each handle general civil trial assignments, in addition to presiding over complex civil litigation, he said. The changes took effect Jan. 1.
