SAN FRANCISCO—As a partner at Steptoe & Johnson LLC, Patrick Norton was hired—twice—to investigate potential corruption in the foreign offices of Bio-Rad Laboratories Inc.
His investigations, which now play a significant role in a whistleblower suit against the Bay Area company, came under fire Wednesday during court proceedings in the Northern District of California.
