SAN FRANCISCO — The nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday drew a wary response from California’s senators and some prominent legal scholars here, who fear his vote may roll back women’s reproductive rights and other mainstream tenets of this solidly blue state.
In a statement Tuesday evening, Sen. Dianne Feinstein said she was “deeply concerned.” In comments posted on Twitter, Sen. Kamala Harris, also said she was “troubled by the nomination of Judge Gorsuch and will fight to ensure the voice of the American people is heard in this process.”
