SAN FRANCISCO — In the latest cutback tied to the budget constraints that have been plaguing California courts for years, Santa Clara County Superior Court will trim the hours of its civil clerk’s office starting in May.
The court’s current office and telephone hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., but court officials announced on Wednesday that the Civil Clerk’s Office in San Jose will be closing at noon on Fridays starting May 5. The move comes after the court previously trimmed an hour off each business day in November 2014.
