The First Appellate District affirmed in part and reversed in part a judgment of conviction. In the published portion of its opinion, the court held that the trial court erred under People v. Chiu (2014) 59 Cal.4th 155 in instructing the jury that the defendant could be convicted of first degree murder as an aider and abettor under the natural and probable consequences doctrine, but felony murder instructions rendered the error harmless as to one of two murder findings.
