Paul McCartney and the present owners of his Beatles songs are saying a lot of “Hello, Goodbye” lately.
McCartney sued Sony/ATV Music Publishing LLC in January for a declaration that his share of copyrights in songs he co-wrote in the 1960s will begin reverting to him next year. Sony responded that the suit, filed in the Southern District of New York, is premature and that the outcome may depend on an upcoming U.K. court ruling.
