Dawn Smith, former top lawyer at VMware Inc., has left the company to become executive vice president, chief legal officer at computer security company McAfee LLC, according to Smith’s LinkedIn profile.
At VMware, Smith was senior vice president, chief legal officer, chief compliance officer and secretary of the board. Smith has been removed from VMware’s executive leadership webpage; she was still on the page as of a May 10 snapshot recorded by The Internet Archive.
