The Walt Disney Co.’s top attorney, Alan Braverman, has extended his contract with the company. According to a recent U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing, Braverman, a regular on Corporate Counsel’s list of top-paid general counsel, has signed on to stay with the company to July 2019.
Aside from extending Braverman’s contract as senior executive vice president, general counsel and secretary from March 2018 to July 2, 2019, other changes to the terms of his employment include that his long-term incentive award was bumped up from a target value of 200 percent of his annual base salary to 225 percent and language was added that stipulates that Walt Disney’s CEO will recommend at the end of the employment term an annual cash bonus based on Braverman’s contributions during the applicable fiscal year.
