9th Cir. B.A.P.
11-1081

The Bankruptcy Appellate Panel affirmed a bankruptcy court judgment. The court held that a defendant’s active, genuine participation in a bankruptcy trustee’s fraudulent transfer action constituted consent to the bankruptcy court’s authority to hear, determine, and enter a final judgment in the proceeding. The court held further that the bankruptcy court did not err in finding that the defendant’s promise to care for the debtor for the remainder of his life was not reasonably equivalent in value to the debtor’s transfer of ownership of his $35,000 unencumbered home.
